'The King Of The Cut' race concluded the eventful week over in WA. With mixed forecasts and tough conditions, the competitors still took on the paddle through Dawesville Cut with light wind to begin with and bigger bumps picking up towards the end of the race.
Most of the paddlers were riding unlimited boards making the competition tough and the race fast. However there was still a very competitive 14' division, Nathan Cross, Ty Judson and Sofie Simonsson were all on 14' boards for the 24km downwind. Jake Jensen and Angie Jackson have claimed victories for "The King Of The Cut" race 2017. Blue Planet riders Ty Judson finished 15th overall, and came 4th in the 14' division. Nathan following very close behind getting 17th overall and 7th in the 14' division. Sofie was proud to finish her first ever downwindrace with a great result of 5th place.Overall the Team had a great week in WA sneaking plenty of fun downwind runs along the 'Half Cut' throughout the week. We will be posting a full recap video soon so stay tuned for more action!
